TEDxGuangzhou 演讲活动

秉着“传播创想”的理念，TED推出了一个叫TEDx的项目，所谓TEDx，就是指那些由本地TED粉丝自愿发起、自行组织的小型聚会，让本地的TED粉丝能够聚到一起，共享TED一刻。”x”即是独立组织的TED活动之意。人们通过邀请当地演讲人进行现场演讲、共同观看TED演讲视频，就一些问题进行深入的交流和讨论。TED会给TEDx活动提供建议和支持，但是这些活动完全是由粉丝自行组织的。TEDxGuangzhou 的活动就是一个旨在推广跨界交流理念、启迪创意思想的会议。

Zhang Hai Hua (张海花)
Author, Speaker and consultant. Most recently co-wrote Think Like Chinese a book on cross-cultural communication in personal and business practices. She lived in Australia for 8 years, working in both management consulting and investment banking before relocating back to Beijing in 2002. She is the Managing Director of consulting group ChinaTime Inc.

Sun Zi said "know yourself and your enemy, then you will never lose a battle".
Zhang says, "know the Chinese mind so you can prosper!"
Her book Think Like Chinese explains Chinese thought and business culture from the Chinese perspective. It gives first-hand insight into what Chinese are really thinking when conducting business.

张海花是一位作家、演讲家、顾问。最近她与其丈夫合写了Think Like Chinese――一本有关企业与个人实践方面跨文化交流的书。在澳大利亚生活了八年的她，从事于管理顾问和银行投资，随后于2002年回到北京。她是ChinaTime Inc.咨询集团的总经理。

Photographer, writer and educator. Tom Carter is an internationally published freelance photographer and travel writer. Tom has traveled extensively throughout all 33 Chinese provinces and autonomous regions and is the author of CHINA: Portrait of a People, the most comprehensive collection of imagery of contemporary China ever published by a single author.
Tom is presently travelling across India to photograph his next book, INDIA: Portrait of a People.

Tom Stader
Educator, Artist, Social Entrepreneur. The founder of The Library Project. TLP builds libraries in rural villages and orphanages throughout Asia. To date the project is responsible for nearly 200 libraries in China in areas that prior had no access to books.
Tom Stader, Founder and Director, launched The Library Project in 2006. Through his travels and time spent living in Southeast Asia and China, Tom became aware of the range of cultural diversity throughout the region. What affected him the most was the lack of quality education for all children. The Library Project is his way of giving those children left behind the opportunity for a quality education. The Library Project has an amazing team of volunteers, full-time staff and Board members that tirelessly strive to make the world a better place.
Tom Stader has worked throughout the USA, China, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam. Tom graduated from Northern Arizona University's School of Communications in 1996.

Jon Phillips is a community and business developer contributing to society and building meaningful relationships. In 2002 he helped launch the open source drawing tool, Inkscape and founded the Open Clip Art Library. From 2005 until 2008 he built Creative Commons’ community and business development projects and is currently a Creative Commons Fellow. Currently, he is growing the media company Fabricatorz with Cantocore Art Exhibitions, Laoban Open Soundsystems, and is recently assisting with an upcoming re-launch of Status.Net (Identi.ca). He is known for growing successful open communities globally, leading international business development in Asia (particularly China), and developing Open Marketing.

Prior to joining BioRegional's One Planet team, Xiao-hong also worked for five years for a UK property investment and management company, gaining experience in both finance and management. Xioa-hong works from Guangzhou, China.
陈晓红是“一个地球生活”(One Planet Living)中国项目经理。该模式旨在让可持续的居住方式在全世界内变得易行、有吸引力，从而合理利用有限的地球资源，建造一个和谐健康的世界。因而，在此基础上建立起来的社区，被称为“一个地球社区”。
这样的社区须遵循十个原则：零碳、循环利用废弃物、可持续发展交通、当地和可持续发展材料、可持续发展食品（减少食品垃圾）、有效利用水资源和解决污染、自然栖息地与野生动物、文化与传统、公正和公平交易、健康快乐的生活。

Mai Rong Hao麦荣浩
Founder and CEO of theater 1980s, director and script writer, freelancer, theater educator. Mai founded the independent Theater 1980s in Guangzhou in 2005. It was a group with a mission to foster people's interest in theater and to make theater an inspirational tool for general education. It has since been acclaimed as a promising youth group in today's China.
麦荣浩，广州独立剧团八十年代剧团团长，艺术表演策划及编导，商业表演策划及编导，职业影视编剧，自由撰稿人,演员，剧场教育工作者。2005年在广州成立八十年代剧团，任团长。创团以来集编、导、演一身，带领团员制作多次集体即兴编作演出。2006年，八十年代剧团被城市画报评为“中国优秀团队”。

8．Xiao Qing Yang (Shout) 萧青阳

creative designer known as "Shout"! Shout's design studio where he has created startlingly fresh images for many of Taiwan's important records and music events. Though he works in a world of "stars" and "wanna be stars", Shout stays grounded in family life, living and working in his home studio, accompanied by his wife, three children and plenty of friends. He has titled his book "imagine, my generation". This is, first a loving reference to the Beatles and The Who but also it points readers to a time which was, in Shout's eyes, more about how people felt about each other than our more selfish "what can you give me" times. It's Shout's unpretentious love for music and people that clears the way for his wild imagination to take flight. Ironically, but not surprisingly, this down to earth designer just became the first Taiwanese person ever to be nominated for a U.S Grammy award in 2005 and 2008.

She had leaded the sequencing department perfectly accomplished China super hybrid rice genome in 2001, and her teams work had been published in the <SCIENCE> magazines. Her group carried on Thai tsunami victims DNA identification as delegate of China.

Zhang Zhen Hui张振辉

Zhang is the co-designer of the China pavilion at the Shanghai Expo 2010. He is also a board member of Raleigh China, a non-profit initiative that promotes youth development through adventuring and service learning.

华南理工大学建筑设计院建筑创作研究中心副主任建筑师。先后师从中国建筑大师齐康院士与何镜堂院士。从业以来作为主创建筑师参加了2010年上海世博会中国馆、安徽省博物馆新馆、宁波帮博物馆、钱学森图书馆、烟台文化广场等一系列大型文化公共建筑的设计工作，专注于探寻中国文化与现代建筑理念在建筑实践中的融合与创新之路。建成工程获得国家优质工程银奖，建设部与教育部优秀工程设计一等奖等众多奖项。

1998年参加了由英国查尔斯王子倡导建立的雷励国际青年计划的中国远征营，10年后协助当年的老队友创办雷励中国，成为雷励中国的联合创办人和理事。

Dominic Johnson-Hill

Dominic is the founder and creative dictator of Plastered T-shirts, Beijing’s first, original t-shirt brand. The now-famous clothing brand takes iconic imagery from China’s streets and celebrates it. Dominic arrived in Beijing in 1993 as a backpacker and then in 1995 setup his first business providing market research for foreign companies in China during which time he travelled to almost every major city in China. In 2006 Dominic started Plastered T-shirts on a then very quiet hutong (alleyway) called Nan Luo Gu Xiang. Plastered T-shirts now sells out of 12 locations worldwide. Dominic was the recipient of the 2008 British Entrepreneur of the Year in China award. Dominic lives behind the Plastered T-shirts Flagship store with his wife and three children.

Jose A. Rueda is a Canadian scientist, entrepreneur, and musician who focuses on design, engineering and marketing aspects of technology for meaningful purposes. He has been a consultant for the Government of Canada, Government of Manitoba, and many NGOs and private sector organizations. He is passionate about helping Canada's aboriginal communities jump right into the 21st Century via sustainable technology and business practices. He is presently Director of Game Design and Production and Assistant Professor at the School of Design of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Chief Executive Producer of PlayLab (playlab.hk), a "meaningful games studio" in Hong Kong.
